Andrew "Beezer" Beese

Growing up in Bristol, England in the 1980 made Beezer an accidental documentarian of the birth of sounds that influences musical styles across an array of genres. He was there with his camera when a group of beat-obsessed kids pronounced themselves The Wild Bunch which
included Massive Attack, Tricky and Nellee Harper among others.

Being a childhood friend of members of Massive Attack allowed Beezer to capture the evolution of trip hop through the eyes of unique lens. And what could be better than hanging out at the clubs all night and snapping pictures of your friends performing and partying. These images unviewed by the general public until it was released in Japan in the form a book, "The Wild Dayz", with 220 images. And was available as an import outside of that country. In 2009 this rare documentation of an emerging underground youth culture that helped shape later mainstream cultures was released in the UK and is available here.

Detailed interview coming soon.
