Order of Chaos

"Order of Chaos" is the writing/diretorial debut from Vincent Vieluf. It follows the story of John Pulliti (Rhys Coiro) a 30ty something lawyer at a powerful law firm with a tough-as-nails boss (Mimi Rodgers). When ruthless, unethical attorney Rick Carlson (Milo Ventimiglia) takes a job at the firm and moves in next door to John, everything starts to fall apart. John become convinced that everyone around him is a threat, but his increasingly powerful delusions caused by drug use and the darkness inside of him spark a disturbing personal transformation.

Regardless of some of the drawbacks of the film (such as way too many fast flash edits, a not well developed script), there were some really great moments to relish. For a first film and $1,000,000 dollars, this films look rivals that of most big budgeted films, and to his credit, he was able to reel in the talents of Rhys Coiro (Entourage), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Mimi Rodgers. That's no simple task. Given what they had, all actors were in their form and made the movie
better than it would of been with mere armatures. I particularly love the chemistry between Milo (Rick) and Rhys (John). I personally thought the soundtrack, written and recorded by Mr. Vieluf, was creative and catchy, although some songs would have been best left out. And I also love the voice over he used with the by Researcher/ Historian Alan Watt from the show Cutting Through The Matrix. It was on point with John's medication and the fracturing of his illusionary world around him.

Its an entertaining first try, and worth viewing. Do check out Mr. Vieluf commentary as it will give good insight into how he see's the world and his vision for the movie, as well as some comical storytelling.
